Beyond and D13 round out the Asia division for ESL One: Road to Rio after successfully progressing through the three-team Play-in stage.
The ESL One: Road to Rio Asia Play-in was reformatted to a best-of-three round-robin group after Aequus withdrew from the tournament due to ping issues, bringing the team count down to three.
The Play-in began with D13 taking on JiJieHao, who had replaced EHOME in the tiebreakers, with the Mongolian squad narrowly outlasting the Chinese-Russian mixture in a closely-contested series for an early advantage in the round-robin group.

D13 failed to secure direct qualification for the next stage in their second match as they fell short to Beyond in yet another tight series, with the Mongolian side concluding their Play-in performance with a 1-1 record and relying on the final match to decide their fate.
The final match between Beyond and JiJieHao had high stakes as a win from the Chinese side would result in a three-way tie in the group. Unfortunately for them, they were humbled by the Thai team, who will progress to the next round together with the Mongolian outfit.
The ESL One: Road to Rio Asia division will run from May 6-10 and will offer $10,000 in addition to points towards the Regional Major Ranking, which will be used to determine invites for the Rio Major.
